Start with your check-in time
Your airline tells you when check-in and bag drop close. Most airlines ask you to be at the airport 2 hours before a short-haul flight and 3 hours before a long-haul flight. Work backwards from when you need to be there, not from the flight time.
Add the drive from Haddenham
These are the distances by road and drive times from Haddenham when the roads are clear. Heathrow is 42 miles away and takes about 50 minutes. Luton is 33 miles away and takes about 55 minutes. Gatwick is 78 miles away and takes about 1 hour 25 minutes. Stansted is 71 miles away and takes about 1 hour 25 minutes. Birmingham is 74 miles away and takes about 1 hour 15 minutes.
Traffic adds to these times. The M25 is busy at almost any hour. The M40 and M1 are slow in the morning and evening rush. For a flight at a busy time, add 30 to 45 minutes to the drive.
An example for a Heathrow flight
Say your short-haul flight leaves Heathrow at 10:00. Your airline wants you there by 08:00. The drive takes about 50 minutes when the roads are clear. Leave Haddenham by 07:10, or by about 06:45 if you want a margin for traffic. Your driver will be at your door at the time you book.
Your price does not change with traffic
Whatever the traffic, the fixed price you booked is the price you pay. If you want to talk through a pickup time for your flight, call 07542 602779 and we will suggest one.
